Chores that rotate
“Bathroom, every 7 days, Tomas → Lena → Marco.” Tap Done and the turn passes on and the next date is set. Points add up, and there’s a leaderboard for the competitive ones.
For flats, shared houses and anyone splitting a fridge
Chores take turns on their own. Money settles in the fewest payments. The shopping list is always the same for everyone. And if you use an AI assistant, it can run the boring parts for you.
No app store, no password, no ads, no tracking.

Add who paid and who it’s for. Flat Kite keeps everyone’s balance and works out the fewest payments to get everyone back to zero. Tap Paid when it’s done.
Anyone adds, whoever’s at the shop ticks it off. No more three people buying toilet paper on the same day.
Wifi password, the plumber’s number, Saturday’s party. Plus a feed of everything that changed, so nothing happens behind anyone’s back.
The new part
Every button in Flat Kite is also a tool for AI assistants (it speaks MCP, the standard way agents use apps). Make a token in the app, give it to Claude or any other agent, and just say what happened.
Flat Kite is a PWA (a “progressive web app”): a website your phone can install. You get an icon on your home screen, it opens full screen without the browser bars, and it updates itself. No store, no download, nothing to keep up to date, and it uses almost no space.
Ask a flatmate: More → Invite a flatmate makes a link. Open it, type your name, done.
Anyone already on Flat Kite can send you Invite a new flat. You name your flat, you’re its admin, and it’s completely separate from theirs.
You sign in with a passkey: Face ID, your fingerprint or your phone’s screen lock. Nothing to remember, nothing to leak.
Flat Kite is a small app run by friends, not a company. Each flat only ever sees its own data, there are no ads and no trackers, and the database is backed up daily. It’s also self-hostable: one small program and one file, so a flat (or a group of friends) can run its own.
